Built Tough. Built for Adventure.
Sherpa 4x4 designs and manufactures some of the highest quality air compressors on the market, including the renowned “Big V4” and “Box Air” models.
Big V4– The next evolution in our portable air compressors. Built tough for off-roaders, tourers, and adventurers who demand serious performance. Delivering an impressive 400LPM of clean, oil-free air, the ‘BIG V4’ is purpose designed for fast tire inflation and general off-road use.Set your desired PSI, and let the compressor do the rest.
Box Air – A compact yet rugged 12V portable compressor with a high-volume, dual-head output. Designed for fast, oil-free air delivery, it’s perfect for off-road adventures and remote tire inflation. Housed in a heavy-duty carry case, the Box Air includes everything you need including a 150PSI air tank, pressure switch and safety release valve for dependable performance anywhere you travel.
Whether you’re touring, camping or tackling remote tracks, Sherpa 4x4 compressors are your go-to solution for reliable, high-performance air on demand.
A pre-set pressure system lets you select a target tire pressure and allows the compressor to stop or control inflation when that setting is reached, reducing the need to crouch at the tire and repeatedly check a separate gauge. This is especially useful when airing up several tires to the same highway pressure after off-road driving. The feature does not remove the need for an accurate gauge; verify the final pressure periodically, particularly after changing tire sizes or after the inflator has been dropped or exposed to dirt. Pre-set control also works best when the hose, chuck, and fittings seal well. An air leak can make any automatic system cycle unnecessarily or give inconsistent results.
A manifold or multi-tire hose system can equalize and inflate several tires together if the compressor and hoses are sized for the airflow. The benefit is convenience and consistent axle pressure, but the hoses and connectors become part of the restriction. A very high-output compressor can be throttled by small quick couplers or narrow hose. Make sure each hose connection is secure, keep lines away from hot exhaust components, and monitor the vehicle battery because the compressor may run for a sustained period. For vehicles with different front and rear target pressures, inflate each axle separately or use a system that allows independent control.
Power is the limiting factor. A compressor producing serious airflow from a 12V supply can draw high current, and a small conductor causes voltage drop and heat. The longer the cable run, the larger the conductor normally needs to be for the same current. Poor crimps, corroded clips, or an undersized connector can become the hottest point in the circuit even when the cable itself is adequate. Use the supplied or specified leads, connect to a healthy battery, and avoid long light-duty extension cords. If a plug becomes hot enough to discolor or soften, stop using the compressor and correct the resistance rather than treating that temperature as normal.
There is no universal off-road pressure. The right setting depends on vehicle weight, tire construction, tire size, load, terrain, and speed. Lower pressure can enlarge the tire footprint and improve traction and ride quality in sand, rocks, and washboard, but too little pressure increases the risk of bead unseating, sidewall damage, wheel damage, and heat. Reduce pressure progressively and observe tire shape and vehicle behavior. A loaded pickup may need different front and rear pressures. Once you return to sustained pavement speeds, reinflate to a pressure appropriate for the vehicle and load. Use the vehicle and tire manufacturer's limits as the baseline rather than copying another driver's number.
A good setup includes enough real airflow for your tire size, a duty cycle suited to four-tire inflation, an accurate gauge, a hose long enough to reach every wheel, and electrical leads that can carry the compressor current. Storage matters too: a durable case protects fittings and keeps the hose from collecting sand and debris. If you run oversized tires or regularly assist other vehicles, extra airflow and a spare hose connector are worthwhile. If the compressor is permanently mounted, add proper circuit protection, cable support, and ventilation. The best system is the one that can reliably air down and air back up every trip without overheating or relying on improvised wiring.

My stallion broke down after years of heavy use and thought I had to buy a new one. Found out it was the drive motor and just replaced it with one of these babies easy as.. Job done
Picked up one of these bundles online a while back and love this unit. Great to have on the truck for any inflation needs.
These hand winches work really well.. Grabbed one for my boat and handles it with ease.. Recommend
Bought a 4 pack a few weeks back. These are great, easy to use and look awesome. Handy to have 4 too..
Sturdy, well built and good weight to it. Can hear the quality as it ratchets. Easy company to deal with and delivery was seamless.
Awesome winch!
Aptly named......Steed
2nd Sherpa I have purchased. Just mounted it. Have not used yet. Mounted on MME bumper. Suggest mount all pieces to bumper before mount to truck. One of the cables from the controller to the motor (black) was too short and had to be lengthened (no big deal). I used 1/0 cables, so I had to remove stock positive feed to controller, drill out to accept 1/0 cable, and put back together. With the distance I had the stock cables were not big enough. Looks to be a great product. Maybe sherpa could modify controller design to accept a bigger cable with an insert when the installation requires.
This was the second time we order this winch, easy to navaigate the web page and delivery time was better than expected. On the first order i had a question about the winch and i called before they opened, didn't leave a message, and later that evening i had a gentleman call me back telling me he missed a call and wanted to know if i needed any help. Great product and Great customer service.
Although I haven’t mount my new winch yet, I can say that shipping was a lot faster than I expected
very impressed with this winch. very well built and strong winch.
love it. fast delivery to USA.

Sherpa 4x4 'Stallion' - 25,000Lb Winch
I used the 25,000 LBS winch this past weekend to pull out my 1997 Cat D3C bulldozer from a 3 foot deep 100 foot wide mud bog. The remote functioned perfectly as did the winch! I did add two blocks to increase purchase & I had purchased an extra synthetic rope to get to a stable tree to pull against. I was able to remove the machine without any outside assistance and I can not imagine the cost I would of incurred if I did not own this winch. The winch has become essential on our farm and I have not found a piece of equipment that it cant "unstick"! Great piece of essential kit!
So excited to use this 25,000 pulling monster to pull down massive pine trees this weekend. Installed in 2007 RAM 6.7L 3500 Megacab and fit perfectly under a road armor assault steel bumper with bull bars. My old 12,500 warn winch was giving out and I found sherpa and went for it. Time will tell with the performance of the winch and all the sherpa gear I ordered
GRREAT DEAL. GRREAT LOOKING. BUT DID NOT RECIVE STICKERS LIKE I SEE OTHER GETTING IN BOX WITH WINCH. I GUESS A SMALL COMPLANT. SO FAR SO GOOD.
